Steel billet refers to the semi-finished products used in the production of steel, which can not be directly used by the society. Material：
Continuous casting billet and rectangular billet are mainly represented by plain carbon steel, low carbon and low silicon cold rolling stock, high quality carbon structural steel, low alloy high strength steel and special steel grades
Production technology：
Billets are produced by three processes:
First, the billet is directly cast from molten steel through the continuous casting equipment of steelmaking system;
The second, the semi-finished products of steel ingot or continuous casting billet produced by steelmaking system through rolling equipment of rolling system;
The third, the semi-finished products processed by forging equipment for ingots produced by steelmaking system.

Length range: 3700-10000mm + / - 500mm
Cross section size: 64 * 64; 82 * 82; 98 * 98; 124 * 124; 120 * 150; 152 * 164; 152 * 170mm
Section tolerance: billet (+ 1.0 / - 2.0 - - + 3.0 / - 1.0 mm); slab (width: + / - 2.0 mm, thickness: + / - 3.0 mm)
Length tolerance: + / - 200 mm
Cross section diagonal tolerance: 3.5-8.0mm
Requirements for protruding shape of billet section size: < 1242mm, not allowed; = 1242mm, < = 2mm; > 1242mm, < = 3mm
End breakage (shear) expansion deformation: < 1242mm (billet: not controlled; slab: < = 15mm)
Surface inclination: no more than 0.1 of billet section
Bending: no more than 10 mm per 1m length
Twist: length < = 5m, < = 11; length < = 7.5m, < = 5.
Material 3sp / PS chemical composition%: C, Mn, Si, s, P
