The width gauge of hot rolled steel plate adopts the design of adjustable distance double barrel photoelectric probe. Two emitting lenses are equipped with LED point light source. The light emitted by the point light source changes into parallel beam through the lens and is sent to two receiving lenses respectively. Through the lens in the receiving lens, the parallel beam is imaged on the CCD chip of photoelectric conversion element. When the measured object passes through the field of view composed of two parallel beams, the virtual shadow will appear on the image of photoelectric conversion element, and its width is L1 and L2 respectively. After processing and calculating the electrical signal from photoelectric conversion element, we can get the size B1 and B2 corresponding to L1 and L2. The width dimension a of the measured object can be obtained by adding B1 and B2 together with the clear distance C between the two lenses.
